Do you do online therapy?
If you are in Utah and want to meet virtually I can meet through a HIPPA compliant virtual therapy room. If you are out of the state, I recommend you checking into my E-Courses/E-Books for skills and plans to crush your stress and anxiety. What can I expect from your e-courses & e-books? I designed the e-content for anyone who is looking to gain new skills to manage stress and anxiety. This content is great in conjunction with mental health therapy or if you are looking to do some self-study to help with your stress. Head to my courses page to learn more about each product. Do you take insurance? I am currently paneled with Blue Cross Blue Shield, EMI, and LYRA. You can also use your HSA for mental health therapy services. What is the first therapy appointment like?It all begins with getting to know you. My therapy approach is conversational and chill. I want you to feel comfortable and confident sharing your story. We will start by covering therapy basics which include informed consent, housekeeping, and logistics. After that, I will guide your through questions regarding your new patient paperwork you complete prior to session. What type of therapy do you do? I practice from a variety of modalities I have learned over the years. These include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I teach yoga in the community so I will often bring in thoughts or ideas from a yoga and mindfulness perspective. I call myself an eclectic therapist because I am constantly learning new techniques and ideas, while strengthening my skills in what I have been trained in. I believe therapy is not a one size fits all approach. |
